This includes ensuring that proper controls and procedures are in place to manage and protect the Public's resources.
A high standard of excellence drives the Finance Department to provide outstanding levels of support, services and products. Financial records are managed and maintained in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and in compliance with Federal, State and local laws. The Department strives to be exemplary in all activities and continuously exceed expectations.

Providing accurate financial services in a timely and efficient manner is of the utmost importance to Finance. We aim to balance service levels, customer needs, efficiency and available resources. Efficiencies are developed through staff training opportunities, promoting teamwork, and by providing employees with a challenging and fulfilling work environment.
Functions of the Department include: budgeting, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, utility and assessment billings and collections, grant administration and financial reporting. In addition, the Department is responsible for the Front Desk Operation at City Hall, and the Human Resources and Risk Management functions.
