PLANNING & ZONING DEPARTMENT

Welcome to the Planning and Zoning (P&Z) department. P&Z is responsible for a wide range of duties; from reviewing and approving site plans and other land use applications, to ensuring your property has the correct address so that emergency responders can locate you quickly in the event of an emergency.

PZ Staff

We hope you will find all the information you need here on our web page. We have worked hard to provide answers to many of the questions we frequently receive right here so they're easily accessible to you. Of course, we're happy to sit down with you and discuss your project as well. So if you do have questions, please do not hesitate to call or stop by to visit us at City Hall.

Storefront Improvement Program

The City has initiated a new Storefront Improvement Program (SIP) intended to revitalize Soldotna's commercial core by stimulating additional private investment in our local businesses.

The SIP is a reimbursable grant, which can fund up to 50% of the cost of eligible improvements, up to a maximum of $5,000.

Additional information and an application is available in our newsletter introducing the program. Contact Stephanie Queen, Planning Director, at 714-1240 or squeen@ci.soldotna.ak.us with questions.
