City of Soldotna, Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula

In the very heart of the beautiful Kenai Peninsula!

Soldotna Creek ParkPull into the parking area at Soldotna Creek Park and the Sterling Highway suddenly seems miles away. You don't have to be a fisherman to enjoy this 5 acre picturesque spot, but it's okay if you are.

Picnic areas with barbecues are scattered through the trees and overlook the Kenai River. A pavilion with picnic tables stands ready in case you want a roof over your head while you eat. Playground equipment promises to keep the kids busy. Benches set to face the river provide a scenic Alaskan setting just right for daydreaming or the time-out of your choosing.

A wide trail that is handicapped accessible with assistance, leads to the mouth of Soldotna Creek and has over 500 feet of elevated boardwalk with river-access stair units that wind along the edge of the Kenai River.

The location of this day use only park makes it a favorite. You can reserve the pavilion for  special gatherings by contacting Carmen Triana.
